What is unique about the Skin Academy?

As a functional dermatologist, Dr. Varman brings a unique blend of dermatology expertise and functional medicine to the Shine Skin Academy.  The goal is to provide exceptional education about skin health with general guidance for chronic skin conditions.

Is this for patients or healthcare professionals ?

This course is designed for patients or anyone struggling with a skin condition. It may still be helpful for healthcare professionals who do not specialize in dermatology.

How do I know if I have the right diagnosis?

You need to be seen by an experienced medical professional for a diagnosis. You do not want to miss something dangerous. The goal of this site is to offer education and guidance for people with a known diagnosis. 

What if I need more help? Can I see Dr. Varman?

You can schedule an office visit with Dr. Varman if you are a resident of California and can travel to her clinic in Lincoln, CA. Call 916-645-1447. Telemedicine appointments are only offered for select cases after having been seen in person for evaluation.
