Shine Skin Academy was founded by the doctor-chef duo Dr. Katie Varman and Chef Kimber Dean. Dr. Katie is a practicing dermatologist based in Northern California, where she leads her clinic, Shine Functional Dermatology. Chef Kimber Dean is a Le Cordon Bleu trained Chef, author, and certified yoga instructor with over 20 years of experience using food as medicine. Driven by a belief that skin care deserves a deeper, more integrative approach, Dr. Katie and Chef Kimber created Shine Skin Academy to bridge the gap between expert knowledge and lived experience — changing the way we understand and care for our skin.
